A module that activates file:// URL support in MobileSafari. This works well for browsing locally cached or stored files while on the go.

This package uses MobileSubstrate and supports all firmware versions.

Depending on the state of your device, you might not be able to access files in /var/mobile/Media with this package (previous versions had supported this on 2.0.x firmwares). There (probably) will be an update that lets you use that folder.

Note: previous versions of this functionality that were distributed in the form of a patch for 2.0.x were not by me. Just because you are "upgrading" to this package does not mean that the previous version of the package was actually related.

I took over porting this package to 2.1 as there were serious issues with previous copies of this patch. If you are having problems upgrading we can try to figure out what's going on.

(The #1 problem is that the previous package may have backed up a damaged file. If you were affected, upgrading to this replacement package will cause Safari to crash on startup. To repair you can run "ldid -s /Applications/MobileSafari.app/MobileSafari" as root in Terminal or via SSH. You have to do this after a reboot before you first run MobileSafari. To become root in Terminal, type "su root"; the default password is "alpine".)
