Absinthe is a tool for Windows, Mac, and Linux that provides untethered jailbreaks for:
- iPhone 4S: 5.0 and 5.0.1
- iPad 2: 5.0.1
Absinthe runs on already-upgraded un-jailbroken devices.
Steps: Download Absinthe. Open it, plug your device into your computer, and follow the instructions.
Note for unlockers: if you upgrade iOS using iTunes, it will upgrade your iPhone's baseband. iPhone 4S has no ultrasn0w unlock available, but it may be better to avoid upgrading iOS to maximize chances of future unlocking.
