This is the untethered exploit installed by the Pangu 9.0-9.1 jailbreak tool. If you jailbroke your device with Pangu 9.0-9.1, this untether has already been automatically installed for you.

Note: Upgrading this package will require a reboot. Since iOS 8, if you upgrade Cydia at the same time as installing a package that asks for a reboot, Cydia might get killed, and you might fail to be asked to perform the reboot. We recommend upgrading manually if this happens.

Version 1.1 of this package improves the success rate and reliability of the bootup process on 64-bit devices, as well as correcting an issue that led to a failure to use the instrument functions of Xcode.

Version 1.2 of this package removes the software update daemon, which protects your jailbreak and actually fixes a problem where Manage Storage would for unknown reasons show a spinny and never finish :/.

Version 1.3 of this package makes the untether boot quickly more often on iOS 9.1 by making the exploit more reliable and able to retry more quickly. (Users of iOS 9.0 should not see any difference at all.)

Please also note that rebooting can surface other problems unrelated to the untether or Cydia. For example, having incompatible tweaks installed can cause problems upon rebooting.

Please don't try to uninstall this package. If you want to remove your jailbreak, you need to restore your device with iTunes.

If you're curious, you can learn more about the name "Pangu" - "the first living being and the creator of all in some versions of Chinese mythology".

This 9.0-9.1 untether is nicknamed "Fuxi Qin", which refers to a powerful weapon (in the form of an ancient Chinese musical instrument) wielded by the the legendary Chinese hero Fuxi.

This follows in the theme of the nickname of the 7.1-7.1.2 untether, which was "Pangu Axe", the powerful weapon used by the mythological Pangu to separate the earth and the sky, and then the 8.0-8.1 untether, which was "Xuan-Yuan Sword", a powerful weapon in a series of video games based on Chinese mythology.
